Fresno State (296-296 - 592) men's golf team is in 15th place after round two at the ASU Thunderbird Invitational. Oregon (559/-20) tops the leaderboard five strokes ahead of Texas A&M (561). USC (563) moved to the third position just one stroke ahead of Arizona State (564) and Arizona (564).
Brad Wyatt (75-71 - 146) shot one under par today to tie for 45th place to lead the `Dogs today.
"I'm proud of Brad for his round today," Watney said. "He's feeling under the weather with the heat, but he's playing solid golf."
Matt Ryan (73-74 - 147) is one stroke behind tied for 52nd place. Matt Shaw (74-75 - 149) is tied for 63rd place and Grant Doverspike (74-76 - 150) is tied for 68th place. Gunnar Avinelis (75-78 - 153) is tied 78th place.
"I'm not sure why we are not sharp, especially with such a good field, Watney said. "We're not right on our game but we will keep working on it and hopefully we will get there."
Individually, Oregon's Derek Sipe (65-66) still holds the lead with a 13-under 131 ahead of New Mexico's Charlie Beljian (133).
The third and final round begins with a 7:30 a.m. tee-time at the Karsten golf course in Tempe, Ariz. For live scoring go to golfstat.com.
