Lexi Watson Hit a Season-High .211 vs. Oregon State

FRESNO, Calif. - In its last non-conference match before Western Athletic Conference play begins, the Fresno State Bulldog volleyball team fell 3-0 to a hot Oregon State team Tuesday (Sept. 11) in the Save Mart Center.
The game scores were 30-19, 30-16 and 30-20.
Sophomore Lexi Watson made her first appearance of the night in game two where she led the Bulldogs (2-8), with two kills on five attempts. Watson finished the night with seven kills and a season-high .211 hitting percentage.
Alisha McKee and Lacey Gera had eight kills a piece to lead the team while Lisa Gera had 15 digs.
The Beavers (7-3), hit a match-high .444 in game three and had 11 total blocks. They were led by Rachel Rourke with 18 kills.
Oregon State defeated No. 10 and defending WAC champion Hawai'i August 26, 3-2.
Kerri Walsh, a four-time NCAA All-American, a two-time NCAA National Champion and the reigning Olympic beach volleyball gold medalist, was the special guest in Save Mart Center as she was watching her sister K.C., a setter for Oregon State.
"Join the State - Fresno State!" - The Fresno State Volleyball begins WAC conference play this Thursday, September 13 against New Mexico State at 7 p.m. in the Save Mart Center. All Fresno State Faculty and Staff receive $1 tickets with their ID on the day of the match.
