Ten Dogs Named Academic All-WAC

FRESNO, Calif. - Nearly three dozen Fresno State student-athletes from its five fall sports have been named to the 2007 Academic All-Western Athletic Conference. The team was announced today by the league office for the sports of men's and women's cross country, football, soccer and volleyball teams. A total of 263 student-athletes were named to the list for the fall.
A total of 36 Bulldogs were honored. The Bulldog women's cross country team led in its sport with seven Academic All-WAC selections.
The Bulldog volleyball program produced five Academic All-WAC student-athletes, second-most in the league.
Fresno State is now closing in on a milestone of 1,000 Academic All-WAC student-athletes. The Bulldog program has produced 772 Academic All-WAC performers through the years.
To be eligible, a student-athlete must have completed at least one academic year, have at least a 3.0 cumulative grade point average and have participated in at least 50 percent of the team's contests. The following is a list of the fall sport honorees:
