Swimmers To Compete in Second Annual Debbie Pipher Memorial Invitational
Fresno State will travel to the campus of Washington State for the second annual Debbie Pipher Memorial Invitational, Fri.-Sat., Oct. 24-25, 2008 at Gibb Pool. Competiting teams include host team Washington State, Notre Dame, Ohio University and Idaho.
Exclusively a swimming event, this will be Fresno State's first appearance at the invitational, a meet that was started in remembrance of a former Washington State swimming coach who lost her battle with cancer in 2007.
The `Dogs will hit the pool against some of the top swimmers from across the country at 5 p.m. Friday and 12 p.m. Saturday.
Bulldogs Shine in Season Opener
Many Fresno State swimmers and divers dominated events in the season opener over the weekend at the campus of UC Santa Cruz, giving Fresno State event wins against the Banana Slugs and the Spartans of San Jose State.
"Join the State - Fresno State" - The Fresno State swimming team returns to action Oct. 24-25 as it travels to Pullman, Wash., to compete in the Washington State Invitational. The diving team competes next at San Diego State on Nov. 1.
