Amundsen Scores 17 Against Pacific

STOCKTON, Calif. - Bailey Amundsen led Fresno State with 17 points and eight rebounds but the University of Pacific defeated the Fresno State women's basketball team 84-70 on Saturday night at the Alex G. Spanos Center. Fresno State is 5-2 while Pacific improved its record to 3-3.
LaShay Fears had 13 points and Marnique Arnold had 10 points. Taja Edwards came off the bench to score nine points and grab eight rebounds.
Fresno State shot 41 percent from the floor and was out rebounded 45-35. It was the first time this season the Bulldogs have been out rebounded.
Pacific led throughout most of the game but the Bulldogs did hold a brief 53-52 and 55-54 lead in the second half. The Tigers then went on a 10-0 run to lead 64-55 with 6:33 left in the game. Fresno State got within four points at 68-64 with 3:02 to play but Pacific then scored the next five points to lead 73-64 with 1:40 to play.
The Bulldogs return to the Save Mart Center on Tuesday, December 9 against Cal-State Northridge. Tipoff is at 7 p.m.
