The Aggies are 5-6 overall with wins over North Carolina, UTEP, Florida Gulf Coast, Houston and UC Santa Barbara. New Mexico State was picked to finish second in the pre-season coaches poll behind Hawai'i. They finished second in 2007 falling in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. Mike Jordan is in his 11th season at NMSU with an overall record of 226-104. The Aggies lead the overall series with the Bulldogs 9-6, winning the last seven, including three against the Bulldogs last year and knocking Fresno State out of the WAC Tournament. The match will be at 7 p.m. MT (6 p.m. PST) at the Pan American Center on the campus of NMSU. Live stats can be found at www.nmstatesports.com.
Louisiana Tech

Tech is in its first year under new head coach Matt Sonnichsen who is in his 10th overall season of coaching. Hurricane Gustav, which made landfall in Louisiana on Sept. 1, forced La. Tech's three matches at the LSU Tournament Sept. 5-6 to be cancelled. Fresno State leads the overall series 10-2, winning the last four, including a sweep over La. Tech in 2007. The match will be played at the Thomas Assembly Center on Saturday at 7 p.m. CT (5 p.m. PST). Live stats can be found on www.gobulldogs.com.
