Bulldogs Introduced at Annual Luncheon

FRESNO, Calif. - The 21st Annual Meet the Team Luncheon kicked off on Saturday with a silent auction at Tornino's and the 2009 softball team and head coach Margie Wright mingled with fans before the lunch portion of the event.
Fresno State staff and administrators were then introduced as lunch was served and then Wright said some words about the 2009 team.
The outfielders were then called to the podium first as each student-athlete introduced themselves then gave their pledge for the season as to what they planned on doing to push this team to the next level and their ultimate goal, the Women's College World Series in Oklahoma City. The pitchers and catchers followed while the infielders wrapped up the event.
The 2009 season begins on Feb. 6 as the Bulldogs take on Wisconsin at the Cathedral City Kick-Off.
"Join the State - Fresno State!" - The Fresno State Softball team kicks off the 2009 season on Thursday, February 26 as they host Utah Valley University. First pitch at Bulldog Diamond is scheduled for 6:00 pm. Season tickets are on sale now and can be purchased by visiting the Bulldog Ticket Office, calling 278-DOGS or online at gobulldogs.com.
