The Fresno State women's swimming and diving team kick off action in the new year returning to the pool on Saturday, Jan. 10, 2009, on the campus of UC Davis to face the Aggies and WAC powerhouse San Jose State at 1 p.m. PT, after over a month of rigorous Christmas training.
Scouting the Competition
UC Davis is 1-1 entering this weekend's meet, following a fair finish at the Husky Invitational at Washington in early December. WAC foe San Jose State continues to showcase its strengths entering the team's second meet against the `Dogs with a 10-1 record on Saturday. San Jose State earned their tenth consecutive dual meet victory on Jan. 3 at Cal State Bakersfield. Fresno State showed team strength giving an explosive performance in the 400 medley relay, finishing at an impressive 4:04.06 to catch the win. Amongst other relay victories were the 200 medley relay and the 200 freestyle relay.
