FRESNO, Calif. - Head coach Dr. Becky Malmo knew her team was headed to a tough environment and the No. 2-ranked Georgia Bulldogs proved why they are a program that has won four recent national championships.
The Bulldogs, ranked No. 10 in the nation, fell to Georgia 14-6 in a match held in Bishop, Ga. Georgia improved to 5-1 on the season while Fresno State fell to 1-3. Georgia won nine of 10 matches in English events and handed the Fresno State jumpers their first loss of the season.

The Bulldog Western team battled Georgia to a draw, with each team winning five matches.
Fresno State took three matches in Western Horsemanship as Christa Beesley, Sammie Jo Stone and Madison Silver all picked up victories. Stone had the highest score for the Dogs with a 76.5.
