Bulldogs Battle Canisius

FRESNO, Calif. - The Fresno State women's lacrosse team lost to Canisius College 20-1 on Monday morning in Denver, Colo. The Bulldogs are 0-3 while Canisius improved to 1-1.
Molly Sovacool scored the Bulldogs goal with just under five minutes left in the game on a free position shot. The Bulldogs had six shot attempts for the game, four coming in the first half. Heather Jack, Allie Zachariades and Emily Erwin also had shot attempts for Fresno State. Diana Aguilar had 10 saves.
A difference in the game was the turnovers as Fresno State had 30 to Canisuis' 21. Canisius led 12-0 at halftime and 18-0 before the Bulldogs were able to get their goal.
"Turnovers definitely killed us today," Fresno State coach Sue Behme said.
"Join the State - Fresno State!" - The `Dogs travel to take on UC Davis on Saturday, February 28 at 1:00 pm. They return home to Bulldog Stadium on Saturday, April 4 as they host Saint Mary's at 1:00 p.m.
