FRESNO, Calif. - Krisdina Gehring is a freshman on this years Bulldog women's lacrosse team. After playing basketball and soccer at Turlock High School she decided to learn how to play lacrosse. Gehring recently sat down with Gobulldogs.com to talk about her experience learning the sport.
1- What made you want to play lacrosse?
I saw it as a challenge that I wanted to accomplish.
2- What makes lacrosse such a fun sport to play?
The uniqueness of women's lacrosse makes it fun.
3- What was the first sport you ever played and how old were you?
Soccer and I was about five years old.
4- If you could invite three people to dinner who would they be and why?
Bastian Schweinsteiger because he is my idol, and my parents because they support me in everything I do, and I owe them the world for being so great.
5- What is your favorite class and professor at Fresno State?
My favorite class is Physiology and my favorite professor is Marline Mikow.
6- What is something people may not know about you?
If someone tells me I will fail or can't do something, I will do everything in my power to prove them wrong.
7- What is your most embarrassing sports moment?
I was running down field all by myself and completely fell really hard.
8- What do you want Fresno State fans to know about your team?
The Fresno State Women's lacrosse team is probably one of the hardest working, dedicated teams I have ever seen. We do not let the score affect how we play. Every progression we accomplish is a success and a win for us. We are striving to perfect this game every second we are on the field. We are so greatful to have such amazing fans and support as we do.
9- If you could play any sport besides lacrosse what would it be and why?
Soccer because I love everything about it.
10- Favorite food?
This is a hard question for me because I like all different types of food. I would have to say Mexican food, especially Don Pepe's carne asada burritos.
"Join the State - Fresno State"- The Fresno State women's lacrosse team returns to Bulldog Stadium on April 4 when they play host to Saint Mary's at 1 p.m. For ticket information log onto gobulldogs.com.
