FRESNO, Calif. - The Fresno State volleyball team will need two wins this week to keep any chance of qualifying for next week's 2010 WAC Tournament alive. Fresno State visits the Idaho Vandals on Monday night and celebrate four seniors (Lauren Berger, Kelly Mason, Meghan Moss and Kasey Van Grouw) in regular season's finale at home on Thursday night at 7 p.m.
How the Dogs Can Make the 2010 WAC Tournament...
With Boise State's 3-0 stunning upset of New Mexico State on Saturday night, the Bulldogs must defeat Idaho on the road and hope San Jose State can beat the Broncos in Boise. Both of those matches are on Monday night. If each of those outcomes happen, Fresno State then needs to complete a season sweep of San Jose State at home on Thursday evening during Senior Night. While Boise State has a outside chance to finish as high as third, Fresno State can claim the sixth seed if all three scenarios play out in succession this week. The Bulldogs hold a head-to-head tiebreaker over Boise State as the Dogs bucked the Broncos in each of the two matches between the programs this season.

LAST MATCH: Fresno State Hosted No. 3 Hawai'i on Veterans' Day
The Bulldogs came out fighting against the No. 3 Hawai'i Rainbow Wahine and kept their pedal to the metal all night long. The strong effort resulted in three aggressive sets and ended with No. 3 Hawai'i winning 3-0 on Thursday night (25-20, 25-18 & 25-22). During the evening, Fresno State took time to honor the nation's veterans during a special Presentation of Colors and passed out American flags for a crowd of 1,138 for Veteran's Night.

Brand helped sparked a Fresno State recent three-match winning streak behind the power of three consecutive double-double and extended the run to five straight matches until the streak was snapped against NMSU. On the season, she leads the WAC with a career-best eleven double-doubles.
Clarke Named to 2010 Preseason All-WAC Team
The WAC coaches honored Fresno State's Brianna Clarke as one of 12 student-athletes on the 2010 Preseason All-WAC team. Clarke, a native of Clovis, Calif. and Buchanan High School graduate, is in her junior year after two impressive seasons in a Bulldog uniform. She became the first `Dog since 2003-04 to earn back-to-back All-WAC honors as a member of the 2009 Second-Team All-WAC and 2008 All-WAC Freshman Team.
