Modoc and Petukhova Capture a Doubles Win

FRESNO, Calif. - The No. 41 Fresno State women's tennis team took on the Big 12's Texas A&M on Saturday in Las Vegas, Nev., with the 39th-ranked Aggies coming away with a 7-0 victory.
Fresno State's Anastasia Petukhova and Bianca Modoc teamed together in doubles action for the first time since the ITA Northwest Regionals in November. The duo regained their chemistry, as they picked up an 8-3 win over Texas A&M's Morgan Frank and Christi Liles.
The Aggies went on to win the doubles point and six of the singles matches.
"Credit a very disciplined Texas A&M team," Fresno State head coach Simon Thibodeau said after the match. "We had some opportunities today and we will get better and tougher every match."
The Bulldogs will next be in action on Feb. 26 against 28th-ranked Arizona State and Feb. 27 against 30th-ranked Texas. Both matches will be in Tempe, Ariz.
