Kucerkova Defeats Ranked Opponent

FRESNO, Calif. - Fresno State took on No. 37 Pepperdine on Saturday in Malibu, Calif., with the Waves coming away with a 6-1 victory.
Fresno State senior Renata Kucerkova delivered one of her best performances of the season, as she knocked off No. 81 Arianna Colffer in straight sets. Kucerkova took the first set, 6-0, and cruised to a 6-2 victory in the second set.
"Renata stepped it up in her singles match today," Fresno State head coach Simon Thibodeau said. "I was pleased with how solid she was."
The `Dogs will next be in action on March 17 against No. 13 USC in Los Angeles, Calif.
