Bulldogs Host Bearcats

FRESNO, Calif. - The Fresno State women's lacrosse team returns to the field on Tuesday at 4 p.m. when the Cincinnati Bearcats play at Bulldog Stadium. This is the Bulldogs last nonconference game before Mountain Pacific Sports Federation play starts on April 2. This is the second meeting between the two schools as Cincinnati won 17-3 last year.
Fresno State is 0-6 but seeing continued improvement each game. Amanda Cross leads the Bulldogs with 11 goals and four assists while Margaret Wolford has eight goals and three assists.
The Bulldogs are coming off a game where coach Sue Behme felt her team played its best game of the year against Iona. The Bulldogs had a season-low 17 turnovers in the game and out shot Iona 25-24. Amanda Cross and Margaret Wolford each had two goals and one assist in the game. Cross won four ground balls and caused three turnovers.
The Bearcats are 2-2 going into Monday's game at Stanford. They are on a West coast road trip where they play Oregon, Stanford, Fresno State and Saint Mary's. They have wins over Detroit, 10-6 and Presbyterian, 18-4. Katie Liberatore and Laura Simanksi each have eight goals.
