Dogs Battle UMBC

FRESNO, Calif. - Margaret Wolford scored two goals but the Fresno State women's lacrosse team lost to UMBC, 18-3 on Friday evening. Allie Zachariades had one goal and one assist while Sophie Walker had one assist in the contest. The Bulldogs are 0-3 and play at Navy on Sunday.

Wolford scored her first goal with 2:10 left in the first half on a pass from Allie Zachariades. Fresno State trailed 14-1 at halftime. Zachariades and Wolford tallied their second period goal with 21:28 and 5:17 left in the contest. Katie Wilbur played the entire game in goal and had nine saves.

"We Are Your Team"- Fresno State plays at Navy on Sunday at 7 a.m. Pacific Time. Fresno State then returns home for its home opener on March 11 against Detroit. The contest will be held in Bulldog Stadium at 4 p.m.
