Pola Secures Wins Against BYU

FRESNO, Calif. - Fresno State finished its Utah road trip with a match against BYU on Saturday in Provo, Utah. The Cougars came away with a 4-1 victory.
Sophomore Laura Pola looked impressive for the Bulldogs, with a win over Kristina Doerr. Pola took control of the match by winning the first set 6-4 and finished off the second set 6-2, to win in straight sets.
In doubles action, Pola teamed with senior Renata Kucerkova to knock off No. 26 McCall Jones and Megan Price, 8-7 (10).
"This experience will help us at the end of the season," Fresno State head coach Simon Thibodeau said. "It was nice to see Laura Pola get two wins (in doubles and singles)."
The Bulldogs will next be in action against Pepperdine on March 13 in Malibu, Calif.
