`Dogs Take on Oregon Sunday

SAN DIEGO - In their second game of the day, the No. 22 Fresno State softball team fell 8-0 in six innings to the San Diego State Aztecs at the SDSU Softball complex on Saturday afternoon. The `Dogs are 10-7 on the year and face Oregon at 9 a.m. Sunday.
The Aztecs scored one run in each the first, second, fourth and fifth innings and added four in the sixth for the victory. They had eight runs on 13 hits. Morgan Melloh falls to 6-4 on the year as she pitched 5.1 innings, allowing seven runs, five earned, on 10 hits. She added eight strikeouts and is now nine strikeouts away from 1,000 in her career.
Hannah Williams entered in the circle in the sixth, allowing one earned run on three hits.
The `Dogs had four hits off of Aztec pitcher Sam Beasley. Two hits were from senior Lisamarie Coronado. Haley Gilleland and Caitlin Stiglich each had hits as well.
