Bulldogs Begin Conference Play

FRESNO, Calif.-The Fresno State lacrosse team begins Mountain Pacific Sports Federation conference play on Friday at Bulldog Stadium against No. 11 Stanford at 7 p.m. The Bulldogs then play Oregon on Sunday at 12 p.m.
Scouting the Cardinal
Stanford is 6-4 and ranked No. 11 in the country. They are coming off a victory against No. 19 Hofstra. Sarah Flynn leads Stanford with 20 goals and five assists while Dana Lindsay has scored 18 goals and dished out four assists. Stanford is averaging 12.8 goals a game.
Scouting the Ducks
Oregon is 4-7 and led by the play of Jana Drummond with 31 goals and three assists, Alex Breiner has 26 goals and eight assists.
Youngsters Leading the Way
The duo of freshmen Amanda Cross and Margaret Wolford have been tough to stop, Cross has a team-best 17 points on 13 goals and four assists while Wolford has eight goals and three assists. Cross is second on the team in ground balls won with 17 while freshman Taylor Fiehler has a team-best 18 ground balls.
Free Lacrosse Clinics
For the second straight year the Fresno State lacrosse team is holding free lacrosse clinics for youth and coaches in the Central Valley. Last year the team had as many as 200 people at clinics in January and February. The next clinic the Bulldogs will hold is April 10 from 10-11:30 a.m. For registration information log onto gobulldogs.com.
