Awards Handed Out to Bulldogs

FRESNO, Calif. - The Fresno State lacrosse team handed out awards at the end of the season banquet on Sunday. As voted on by the team, Margaret Wolford was named Offensive MVP, Krisdina Gehring Defensive MVP, Sarah Weeks was named the Most Improved Player and Callie Seidman earned the Sportsmanship award.
Wolford was second offensively in scoring with 10 goals and four assists and she played and started in all 14 games.
Gehring became the first Bulldog to earn all-conference honors as she led the team and conference in caused turnovers per game and had 27 on the season, a team-best.
Weeks and Seidman both played in all 14 games during the season and were instrumental in the team's improvement.
Senior goalkeeper Diana Aguilar was also recognized at the banquet for being named to the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation All-Tournament team as she had 16 saves against No. 15 Stanford, a team that earned a bid to the NCAA tournament this season.
