FRESNO, Calif. - Fresno State lacrosse coach Sue Behme has released the 2011 schedule for the Fresno State lacrosse program. The Bulldogs host six regular season home games and make two trips to the East to play nonconference games. Fresno State also plays a home exhibition game against the Fresno State Men's Club team for the second straight year.
"We are excited for the 2011 season," Behme said. "Once again we open with conference opponent and nationally ranked Stanford. From top to bottom our MPSF conference schedule is top notch. Our non conference games are well balanced too and we are excited to push ourselves to the next level."
The Bulldogs open their 2011 home campaign on March 7 against Bryant University before hosting Mountain Pacific Conference foe Saint Mary's on March 10 and Navy on March 15. The other three remaining home contests are an Alumni game on April 2 and MPSF foes, Cal and Denver visit Fresno on April 10 and 11.
The Bulldogs open the season on Feb. 16 at Stanford, a team that won the MPSF tournament and advanced to the NCAA tournament. Fresno State plays at UC Davis, Oregon and plays Jacksonville in Oregon before making its debut at Bulldog Stadium.
The first East coast trip takes place March 22-27 when coach Behme takes her team to play at Liberty, Presbyterian College and High Point University. The Dogs then travel to Howard and Duquesne to end the season.
Saint Mary's hosts this year's Mountain Pacific Sports Federation tournament April 28-May 1.
"We Are Your Team!" The Dogs open their season in less than two weeks on September 4 against defending Big East Champion Cincinnati. Don't miss any of the Bulldog football action.
