Jodoin Tops Ranked USD Player

FRESNO, Calif. - The No. 70 Fresno State women's tennis team falls to No. 23 San Diego, 6-1 on Saturday afternoon at the Hogan Tennis Center in San Diego. This was the first time the Dogs fell to San Diego since 1999.
In doubles, Melissa McQueen and Olga Kirpicheva earned the lone win in doubles for the Dogs. The doubles team defeated Laura Claus and Josymar Escalona on court two, 9-7.
In singles, No. 99 singles player Marianne Jodoin earned the only point for the Bulldogs in the day defeating No. 74 singles player Stephanie Hoffpauir. Competing on court one the Dogs earned a straight-set victory, 6-4, 6-4.
Fresno State travels to Utah State next week to continue WAC competition.
