Dogs Stay Undefeated in WAC

FRESNO, Calif. - No. 70 Fresno State earns its third victory in conference competition after defeating Utah State, 6-1 Thursday afternoon. Fresno State is now 3-0 in the WAC and Utah State is 0-2.
The Dogs achieved an early lead against the Aggies by earning the doubles point. Victories were earned by Marianne Jodoin and Laura Pola on court one and Olga Kirpicheva and Melissa McQueen on court two.
In singles the wins kept coming for Fresno State as they were victorious on all courts but one.
Each player won in a straight set match against their opponent.
Jodoin's thriving skills were shown on court one as she swept her competition, Jaclyn West in both sets, 6-0, 6-0.
Victories were won by Pola on court two when she defeated Hailey Swenson, 6-1, 6-2 and by McQueen on court three who defeated K. Voytsekhovich, 6-4, 6-2.
Competing on court four for the first time this season, Bianca Modoc added to her singles record after defeating Romina Nedakovic, 6-2, 6-1.
Kirpicheva added another point to the Dogs success as she conquered on court six, Utah State's Brianna Harries. Allowing Harris only four games in their match, Kirpicheva defeated Harris, 6-4, 6-0.
Utah State earned victories only on court five.
Fresno State returns to the Wathen Tennis Center this Saturday to take on the No. 26 Pepperdine Waves at noon.
