FRESNO, Calif. - In their final match of the 2011 season, the Bulldogs lacrosse team fell to Duquesne 17-6 Saturday afternoon in Pittsburgh, Penn.
The Bulldogs (0-14) scored their first goal on a shot by Briana Hetherington at the 17:44 mark in the first half but the Dukes (11-6) already scored six goals at that point. After two early second half goals by Duquesne, senior Heather Jack and sophomore Natalie Harrington netted back-to-back goals for the Dogs. Fresno State closed out the game with another set of goals by Kara Concheck and Margaret Wolford to make the final score 17-6.
Katie Wilbur played in front of the net in the first half and recorded nine saves while Lisa Barnaba took over in the second and tallied six.
