Sunker Sinks All-America Scholar Award

FRESNO, Calif. - Fresno State's Brian Sunker was named a Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholar for Division 1 by the Golf Coaches Association of America in Norman, Okla. on Wednesday.
"Brian Sunker has the whole package of intelligence, kindness, character, good looks, and a solid golf game," Fresno State head men's golf coach Mike Watney said. "He is very deserving of this All-American Scholar Award. He got it because he is the most dedicated and hardest worker on the team."
Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholars for Divisions I included a total of 138 players in Division I.
To be eligible for Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholar status an individual must be a junior or senior academically, compete in at least two full years at the collegiate level, participate in 70-percent of his team's competitive rounds or compete in the NCAA Championships, have a stroke-average under 76.0 in Division I.
A recipient must also be of high moral character and be in good standing at his college or university.
