More Academic Honors for the Dogs

FRESNO, Calif. - The Western Athletic Conference honored 67 Bulldogs for their academic achievements this week, which upped Fresno State's total to 132 academic All-WAC selections for the 2010-11 school year.
The 2011 academic all-WAC baseball, softball, men's and women's golf, men's and women's tennis and men's and women's outdoor track and field teams were announced by the conference office in addition to the academic all-WAC freshmen/transfer teams for all sports.
Across the conference full and affiliate members, a total of 375 spring student-athletes were named to the list, while 281 freshmen and transfers were added for a total of 656 student-athletes.
To be eligible, a student-athlete must have completed at least one academic year, have at least a 3.00 cumulative grade point average and have participated in at least 50 percent of the team's contests.
