POSTGAME NOTES
Sophomore guard Kevin Olekaibe netted a career-best 32 points, which was his 14th double-digit scoring effort of the season and fourth straight. His previous highest scoring game was a 30-point performance to fuel a come-from-behind 68-65 road win at Arizona State earlier this season on Dec. 21, 2011.
Olekaibe's career-high 32 points marked the eighth time this year he scored with 20 or more in game and it was his second career game with 30 or more. His six 3-pointers tied a career-high, with the other time also coming in the win at ASU.
Olekaibe scored a game-best 21 points in the second half and a team-best 11 first half points for the second straight game. It marked the 17th and 18th times this season that he has scored 10 or more points in a half.
Junior Kevin Foster recorded his second career double-double with a career-best in both points (19) and rebounds (14). It was his seventh career double-digit scoring effort and second career game with 10 or more rebounds.
Senior point guard Steven Shepp and sophomore combo guard Tyler Johnson each scored 10 points and dished out seven assists. This season, it marked Johnson's eighth time and Shepp's third time reaching at least 10 points in a single game.
Fresno State hit 11 3-pointers for the third time this season and for the second consecutive game. The other two times the Bulldogs converted 11 3-point attempts came against Hawai'i (Jan. 12, 2012) and Manhattan (Nov. 21, 2011)
Fresno State improved to 8-1 against San Jose State in games played at the Save Mart Center.
