Bulldogs Visit Red-Hot Pack

FRESNO, Calif. - Fresno State heads back on the road for the start of three-game Western Athletic Conference road stretch starting Saturday evening at Nevada (7 p.m. PT) when the Bulldogs face the first-place Wolf Pack in Reno.
All three conference contests will be featured on the WAC Sports Network (KAIL 53/Comcast Cable 13) and KMJ 580 AM.

Fresno State Shoots Past Spartans, 82-73, for Terry's First WAC Win
The Bulldogs used their season-long approach of never getting too high or too low and buckled down to beat San Jose State 82-73 in a Western Athletic Conference for the Bulldogs first conference win of the year. Fresno State trailed for less than two minutes and used career nights by sophomore Kevin Olekaibe (32 points) and Kevin Foster (19 points/14 rebounds).
LAST GAME: Brown Nets Career-High 17, Bulldogs Beat Cougars, 66-55
Jerry Brown scored a career-high 17 points and grabbed seven rebounds as Fresno State rode a strong second half for a 66-55 nonconference victory over the NAIA's CS San Marcos.
Fresno State Remains WAC's Top Overall Program Over Past Nine Years
With its strong commitment to superior athletic competition and academic performance, Fresno State finished second in the last two Western Athletic Conference Commissioner's Cup races and remained the top program throughout the nine years of the award. The 'Dogs rank first among the current WAC institutions, ahead of Nevada and Hawai'i as the top three WAC schools. Fresno State is one of three repeat Cup winners (2007-08 & 2008-09), along with Rice University (2003-04 & 2004-05) and Boise State University (2009-10 & 2010-11).
Welty Accepts 'Dogs Invitation to Join Mountain West Conference
President John D. Welty announced in the summer of 2010 that Fresno State accepted an invitation to become a member of the Mountain West Conference. The Bulldogs will leave the Western Athletic Conference after the 2011-12 season to compete against Air Force, Boise State, Colorado State, Nevada, New Mexico, San Diego State, UNLV and Wyoming.
