`Dogs Roll Past Vandals

MOSCOW, Idaho - The Fresno State women's basketball team made it four-straight wins Saturday night. The Bulldogs (15-4, 3-0 WAC) beat Idaho 72-49 on the road to stay undefeated in conference play.
A second half 18-7 run solidified the `Dogs lead. Fresno State's 23-point win over the Vandals is the 115th time the Bulldogs have won by double-digits under head coach Adrian Wiggins.
The `Dogs outscored Idaho 42-22 in the paint and scored 30 points off of Vandal turnovers. The Bulldogs also scored 17 second chance points as Fresno State outrebounded Idaho 47-32.
Sophomore Ki-Ki Moore led the team with 16 points and a career-high 15 rebounds for her fifth double-double of the season. Senior Veronica Wilson added 16 points off the bench. Also scoring double figures was sophomore Taylor Thompson, who scored 11 points.
The Bulldogs recorded 15 steals and junior Rosie Moult led the team with six. Moore added five steals.
Fresno State opened the game with a 10-3 run taking an early lead. The Bulldogs extended their lead by 11 points after Moult made a layup 13:18 left in the first half. The `Dogs largest lead of the half was by 12 with 4:05 on the clock.
The Bulldogs headed to halftime with a 32-24 lead over Idaho. The `Dogs are 13-2 when leading at halftime. Fresno State had eight first steals in the first half, including four from Moult. Wilson led all scorers in the first half with nine points.
The `Dogs along with San Jose State are the only two undefeated teams left in conference play. The Spartans face Louisiana Tech on Saturday night at 8:30 p.m. in San Jose, Calif.
Fresno State returns to action on Jan. 26 against San Jose State at 7 p.m. PT in the Save Mart Center.
