BOISE, Idaho ---For the sixth time this season, the Fresno State soccer team battled for over 90 minutes as the Bulldogs faced Mountain West foe Boise State. In the second overtime period, Boise State scored to top the 'Dogs 2-1.
Fresno State jumped on the board for a 1-0 lead just before halftime when junior Megan Mossman found the back of the net for her first career goal. Goalkeeper Katie DeVault had three saves in the first 45 minutes.
In the second half, Boise State tied the game back up at 1-1 with less than 20 minutes to go in the game by Bronco Brooke Heidemann. The score remained knotted at the end of regulation forcing overtime.
The Bulldogs attacked early in the first overtime with two shots and an offsides penalty in the first two and a half minutes. However, neither team was able to score in the 10 minute period, forcing a second overtime.
In the second overtime period Boise State's Lauren Hickok received the ball in the middle of the box and was able to score just two minutes in end the match in a 2-1 victory for the Broncos.
DeVault finished the afternoon with six saves.
The 'Dogs remain on the road this weekend as they face Nevada on Sunday at 1 p.m. in an important Mountain West matchup.
