Wilbur Named MPSF Defensive Player of the Week

WOODLAND, Calif.- Senior goalkeeper Katie Wilbur was named Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Defensive Player of the Week for March 4-10.
Wilbur combined for 28 saves over three games last week. On Sunday against Denver, Wilbur totaled 17 saves, breaking the Fresno State single-game record. Of Denver's 46 shots, Wilbur only gave up 18 goals.
Starting all four games of the season, Wilbur has a total of 36 saves making up for a .439 save percentage.
This is the fourth time that a Bulldog has earned MPSF Player of the Week.
Fresno State (1-3) next plays MPSF opponent California in Bulldog Stadium for their home opener on March 19 at 5 p.m.
