Tonkham Earns Mountain West Co-Golfer of the Week

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Fresno State men's golf freshman Troix Tonkham has been selected one of the Mountain West Men's Co-Golfers of the Week for tournaments played March 5-10 along with New Mexico senior James Erkenbeck .
Tonkham captured his first tournament crown as a collegiate golfer at the Bandon Dunes Championships in Bandon, Oregon on March 8-10. In a field of 94 golfers, Tonkham fired a 54-hole total of 6-under-par 210 (70-71-69) on the par 72, 6,859-yard course to win the event by three strokes over teammate Rufie Fessler.
Through 24 rounds this season, Tonkham ranks 13th in the Mountain West with a 72.79 stroke average.
