FRESNO, Calif. -- The Fresno State swimming and diving team, winners of four straight dual meets dating back to November 9, will put that streak on the line on Saturday at the Aquatics Center in a dual against Bakersfield.
The 'Dogs are returning to competition for the first time since December 7, when they knocked off Cal State East Bay 119-84 in a dual meet.
"We are excited to compete again," Fresno State head coach Jeanne Fleck said. "Training gets really hard with no meets."
The last time these two teams were in the same event came at the Arena Invitational in Los Angeles back in November. At that event, the 'Dogs used a big push on the final day to finish in fourth with 587.5 points and Bakersfield finished eighth with 536. However, Fleck knows that the Roadrunners will provide a stiff test to her team.
"They have a great team this year and will challenge us in every event," Fleck said. "We need to be ready to race come Saturday."
Swimming will begin at 12 p.m., on Saturday.
