'Dogs Host Final Meet of Homestand

FRESNO, Calif. - The Fresno State swimming and diving team wraps up a four-meet homestand to open the 2014-15 campaign this Saturday, November 15 at noon, when they host a Tri-Meet against Fresno Pacific and UC Santa Cruz at the Aquatics Center.
Fresno Pacific and UC Santa Cruz will also have their men's teams at the event to compete against each other.
"It's a good meet for us because it is men and women so we will do two heats of everything which puts more time in between events," Bulldogs head coach Jeanne Fleck said. "We're excited about seeing girls swim some different swims and so when we head down to Los Angeles next week we've swam some of these other events."
The Fresno State swimmers will be back in the pool for the first time in two weeks. The last action they saw was during a dual meet against UC Davis on November 2. The `Dogs swam tough against the defending Mountain Pacific Sports Federation champions before falling late, 172-128.
Both Fresno Pacific and UC Santa Cruz will provide a good challenge for the `Dogs this weekend.
"Fresno Pacific has some individuals that are really going to race us and push us in a lot of events," Fleck said. "Santa Cruz always has a good group and it's a big group with a lot of swimmers. It'll be a really fun meet for us this weekend."
This will be Fresno State's last meet in preparation for next weekend's A3 Performance Invitational, hosted by UC San Diego, in East Los Angeles.
