'Dogs Hit The Road for A3 Invite

FRESNO, Calif. -- Fresno State swimmers head down to Southern California this weekend to compete in the A3 Performance Invitational at East Los Angeles College. Last year, the Bulldogs finished fourth at this meet.
This will be the first road meet of the year for the Bulldogs' swimmers after opening the season with four straight home events.
Fresno State is looking to build off of their strong showing at their Tri Meet last weekend where they swept UC Santa Cruz and Fresno Pacific in convincing fashion. Eight Bulldog swimmers won events on the day and there were several personal-best and season-best times posted.
It will be a step up in competition this weekend as Fresno State will take on a field of 15 schools that includes Pac-12 opponents in UCLA and USC, Mountain West rivals San Diego State and San Jose State, as well as Cal Poly, Cal Baptist, Bakersfield, Hawaii, La Verne, Loyola Marymount, Pepperdine, UC San Diego, UC Santa Barbara and San Diego. The Bulldogs will have a chance to familiarize themselves with Loyola Marymount, Pepperdine and San Diego before those three come to Fresno in January for the Beach Cup.
Swimming starts on Thursday at 9 a.m., and the finals will be at 5 p.m.
