Eppright Named to CoSIDA Academic All-District Team

FRESNO, Calif. - Fresno State sophomore Maggie Eppright has been named to the 2014 Capital One Academic All-District Volleyball Team on Thursday morning. The teams were selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) to recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their performances in the classroom and on the court. The Academic All-District teams include student-athletes divided into eight geographic districts across the United States and Canada.
Eppright was named to the Capital One Academic All-District Volleyball Second Team, representing District 8 which encompasses Alaska, Arizona, California, Hawai'i, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, Washington and Canada.
The starting libero earned her Academic All-District honors with her team-leading 3.44 digs per set average, which ranks 9th in Mountain West Conference. Additionally, she made 23 digs vs. Nevada, a team season high and she owns the team's 2nd-best marks with 21 digs twice this season. She has been a starter in all 26 matches and won her first all-tournament team honor in St. John's Kissler Classic in September. She has led the team in digs in 16 matches and has 20 double-digit dig marks this season. Eppright has led team in aces per game four times in 2014, and landed multiple aces four times among her nine matches with aces this season. The sophomore libero has been able to be a leader on the court while maintaining a cumulative 4.0 G.P.A. in Interior Design.
