Holden Competes on 3-Meter

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- Fresno State diver Shelbie Holden finished 36th on the 3-meter springboard on Day One at the NCAA Zone E Diving Meet at the Air Force Cadet Natatorium on Monday afternoon.
The sophomore from Carmichael, Calif., scored a 242.90 to close out her season on the 3-meter board. Holden is not done in Colorado Springs however. She will be back on the 1-meter board on Tuesday.
Arizona State's Hailey Casper won the 3-meter event. Nevada's Krysta Palmer had held the lead after the preliminary round with a score of 338.15, but ended up finishing fourth.
On Tuesday, Holden will be joined by teammate Lacie Ruth as both Bulldog divers take to the 1-meter board. The preliminary round gets underway at 10 a.m. PT. Event results can be found at divemeets.com.
