Cross Country Teams Release 2015 Schedule

Fresno, Calif. - The Fresno State cross country program and head coach Sean McManus announced the 2015 Bulldogs schedule on Tuesday. The schedule is highlighted by kicking off the season at home and traveling to Nevada for the Mountain West Championships.
The Bulldogs kick off the season on Friday, September 11 hosting the Fresno State Invitational at Woodward Park. Hosting the meet for a third consecutive season, the Bulldog women won the meet as a team a year ago as senior Annemarie Schwanz won the 4200 meter race. The men finished second as a team with junior Matt Kwiatkowski placing second in the 6000 meter race.
Fresno State returns to action the next weekend at the Sundodger Invitational hosted by the University of Washington in Seattle, Wash. The Bulldogs return to competition in the state of California the next two weeks running back-to-back weekends at the Stanford Invitational on Saturday, September 26 followed by the Sacramento State Invitational on Saturday, October 3.
The regular season ends two weeks later on Saturday, October 17 at the Bronco Invitational hosted by Santa Clara at Baylands Park in Sunnyvale, Calif.
The postseason begins on Friday, October 30 with the Mountain West Championships set to be hosted by the University of Nevada at Montreux Golf Course in Reno, Nev. The men finished seventh at the MWC in 2014 and the women placed eighth.
Hosted at Woodward Park, Kwiatkowski led the way for the men finishing 31st with a time of 24:41 in the 8K and on the women's side, Schwanz was the top finisher placing 28th as she clocked a time of 21:34 on the 6K course. The four other scoring men placed in the top 53, while the top five women were in the top 80.
The season wraps up with the NCAA West Region Championships in Seattle, Wash. on Friday, November 13 followed by the NCAA National Championships a week later on Saturday, November 21 in Louisville, Ky.
