'Dogs host New Zealand

FRESNO, Calif. – Fresno State women's lacrosse team will host the New Zealand national team in an exhibition game at the soccer and lacrosse field, on Tuesday at 5 p.m. PT. Admission to the match is free and it will also air live on the Mountain West Network.

This is the second consecutive year that Fresno State has hosted the New Zealand national team. Last fall, the Bulldogs defeated New Zealand 17-11.

Head coach Jessica Giglio is excited to welcome New Zealand and believes the challenge will show the growth of the Fresno State lacrosse program.

"It's an honor to be able to play a national team on their journey towards a World Cup, Giglio said. "We loved playing them last year and we look to showcase our team's growth in one year."

The New Zealand national team is on a 10-day tour of California and will also face Stanford, Cal, St Mary's and UC Davis.
