Giglio releases 2017 schedule

FRESNO, Calif. –Fresno State head coach Jessica Giglio released the 2017 schedule on Monday. Among the 15-game schedule, nine are home games. The Bulldogs will host 2016 Mountain Pacific Sports Federation quarterfinalist, Oregon. Select home games will be broadcasted live on the Mountain West Network.

"We are excited for the competition this 2017 schedule brings with it," Giglio said. "Our 2016 season resulted in our program's best record. For 2017, we are looking forward to the continuous growth in the win column on our way to the team's goal of reaching the conference playoffs."

The Bulldogs have a tough road schedule, visiting MPSF 2016 champions USC and MPSF 2016 runner-up Stanford.

Fresno State will open up their 2017 campaign hosting LIU Brooklyn (Feb. 10).

Following the home opener, the Bulldogs will take a trip to Stetson (Feb. 16) and Mercer (Feb. 19) before returning home for five-straight home games.

The five game homestand includes visits from Oregon (Feb. 26), Presbyterian (Feb. 3), Coastal Carolina (March 8), Colgate (March 12) and Quinnipiac (March 16).

Fresno State will then travel to Colorado (March 25) and USC (March 31), before returning home.

The Bulldogs will host back-to-back home games with visits from San Diego State (April 4) and UC Davis (April 8).

Rounding out the schedule, the Bulldogs will travel to Northern California to play Stanford (April 11) and Saint Mary's (April 15).

Fresno State's schedule comes to a close at home on Senior Night against Cal (April 21).

Fresno State looks to qualify for their first ever MPSF tournament. The top six teams in the conference compete in the tournament.

The team consists of 19 returners and 10 newcomers.

On the coaching staff, assistant coach Sarah Lautenbach enters her sixth year on staff and fellow assistant coach Bryce Queener enters his first season at Fresno State.Â
