Bulldogs head to East Coast for pair of competitions

The Fresno State equestrian team will face No. 1 Auburn on Friday at 6 a.m. PT and Delaware State on Saturday at 5 a.m. PT
FRESNO, Calif. – The No. 9 Fresno State equestrian team heads to the East Coast to face off against No. 1 Auburn on Friday at 6 a.m. PT and Delaware State on Saturday at 5 a.m. at the Dovington Training Center in Felton, Del.

Fresno State (2-1) is looking for its second-straight win against No. 1 Auburn (1-0) after the Bulldogs came out ahead 9-8 in their last meeting in Fresno in 2014. The Tigers lead the all-time series 6-2, however, and have won 17 of their last 18 competitions, most recently defeating UT-Martin 14-6 earlier this season.
The Bulldogs have defeated Delaware State (0-1) in all seven of their meetings, dating back to 2008. Last season, the 'Dogs came out ahead in a 9-7 victory in Delaware. Earlier this year, the Hornets fell 11-8 to No. 7 Oklahoma State.

Fresno State's first home competition will be Oct. 21 at 11 a.m. against No. 4 TCU (1-1) at the Student Horse Center. The meet will air live and for free on the Mountain West Network.
