'Dogs in competitive battle for MW's No. 2 Seed
Fresno State (11-5) is in second place in the MW standings - a game ahead of Boise State (10-6) and Nevada (10-6).
The Bulldogs has clinched a first-round bye for the 2016 MW Championships in Las Vegas (March 9-12), and earns the No. 2 seed with a win over Colorado State and a Nevada win at Boise State on Wednesday.
Fresno State was picked to finish fifth in the Mountain West by the league's media in a preseason poll in mid-October.

Bulldogs Set for Wednesday Night's Home Finale
Fresno State (20-9, 11-5 Mountain West) will host the Colorado State Rams (15-14, 7-9 MW) on Wednesday at 8 p.m. PT inside the Save Mart Center. The game will be broadcast on CBS Sports Network, 940 AM ESPN Radio and 1600 AM ESPN Deportes. Fresno State's rotation is headlined by a veteran backcourt in three senior guards, including 2015-16 MW Preseason Player of the Year Marvelle Harris, Cezar Guerrero and Julien Lewis.
Special Promotions for Wednesday's "Blackout"
Tickets for Wednesday's game start at $10 and can be purchased at the Save Mart Center Box Office and www.Ticketmaster.com. The Bulldogs will be wearing their black uniforms for the only time at home this season and all fans are asked to wear black to match the team. The Save Mart Center will not be charging for parking and the first 1,000 fans will get a voucher for a free medium Pepsi at Wednesday's game. The doors open early at 6 p.m. PT for NFL Night with former Bulldog football players signing autographs.
About the Colorado State Rams
The Colorado State Rams (Mountain West) are 15-14 on the season, including a 7-9 record in league play. CSU is led by Antwan Scott (16.4 ppg/4.3 rpg) and John Gillon (12.9 ppg/3.7 apg) after losing its leading scorer Gian Clavell (20.8 ppg) to injury for the season after only 10 games. Russo Earning Bigger Role for MW Stretch Run
Junior college transfer Cullen Russo, a 6-9 versatile forward, has used his agility and length to separate himself as a key contributor, especially on the boards and offensively in the paint. Russo made his first start in the Bulldogs' 71-60 win over Wyoming when he posted a double-double (10 points/10 rebounds). He has five double-doubles this season. Defensively, he disrupts lanes and gets in good position to rebound. Offensively, Russo also gets his teammates involved as a good distributor of the ball as he is one of five rotation players with a positive assist-to-turnover ratio.
Edo Flying High, Continuing to Improve
Karachi Edo has been a fan favorite since his arrival at Fresno State in 2013 for his high-flying athleticism and passionate play. On the floor, Edo has made significant progress during his Fresno State career - his scoring average is up to 9.5 ppg this year as a junior after doubling his scoring average to 8.0 ppg as a sophomore from 4.0 ppg as a freshman. He is also averaging 6.8 rpg - up from 4.3 rpg as a sophomore from 3.3 rpg as a freshman. Edo leads the MW in offensive rebounding (3.4/game). He also has a team-best nine career double-doubles, with six coming this season.
Protecting the Yard
Fresno State owns a Mountain West-best 15 home wins and the best home winning percentage (15-2, 88.2 percent) this season.
Fresno State is 15-2 at home this season - tying a single-season record for most home wins in Save Mart Center history (opened in 2003).
