FRESNO, Calif. - The Fresno State women's lacrosse team held its inaugural Lacrosse Legacy awards dinner and fundraiser last week at Sunnyside Country Club. The team handed out 11 awards and celebrated the accomplishments of a team that broke 50 team and individual records by the end of the 2016 season.
Senior captain Sophia Aragon received the honors of Player of the Year and Defender of the Year, following a season in which she became the program's all-time leader in starts (57), ground balls (97), ground balls per game (1.64) and caused turnovers (56).
