LAX shines in the classroom, 11 MPSF selections

WOODLAND, Calif. - Eleven Bulldogs were named 2016 Mountain Pacific Sports Federation All-Academic Women's Lacrosse selections, the conference announced Thursday, the most in program history.
"Our team stresses the importance of being excellent in the classroom," said Fresno State head coach Jessica Giglio. "These student-athletes spend countless hours studying in addition to practices and games. We are proud of their desire to be bold at Fresno State and rise academically and athletically."
To be nominated, student-athletes must have a 3.00 or better cumulative grade point average, must be at least a sophomore academically, must have completed one full academic year at the institution prior to the season for which the award is received, and must have competed in 50 percent or more of the institution's competition.
