'Dogs face UC Davis on Senior Day

FRESNO, Calif. – The Fresno State swimming and diving team wraps up their regular season this weekend with two home dual meets. The Bulldogs will face Mountain West foe San Jose State on Saturday Jan. 28 at 12 p.m. PT and they will celebrate Senior Day on Sunday Jan. 29 at 12 p.m. PT against UC Davis, both meets will be held at the Fresno State Aquatics Center.
The Bulldogs are coming off of a home win against Cal State East Bay 144-117.
San Jose State is 4-2 on the season. The Spartans competed in the Chik-fil-A Invitational hosted by Fresno State earlier this season. San Jose State finished fifth (465) in the invitational right behind Fresno State who finished in fourth place (517.5). Â
The Spartans are coming off of a loss at Nevada (179-118). They are currently 0-1 against Mountain West opponents in dual meets this season.
UC Davis is 5-4 on the season. The Bulldogs and Aggies have not faced each other this season. The last meeting between these teams was Jan. 8, 2016 when UC Davis defeated Fresno State 160-132.
The Aggies are coming off of a loss at UC Santa Barbara (160.5-96.5). They are 4-3 on the road this season and currently 0-1 against Mountain West teams in dual meets, losing to Nevada 169-129 on Nov. 4.
The Bulldogs will celebrate eight seniors on Sunday including Hailee Baldwin, Kali Conlon, Esme Gullick, Shelbie Holden, Hannah Jarvis, Tarryn Rennie, Rachel Rosenthal and Kelly Simmons.
100 Fresno State swimming and diving posters will be given to the first 100 fans on Sunday. Admission to Fresno State swimming and diving meets is always free of charge.
