AUBURN, Ala. – Fresno State dropped its opening match of the 2017 ITA Kickoff Weekend to host Auburn 4-0 on Saturday at Yarbrough Tennis Center.
The No. 15 Tigers grabbed their first point of the day in doubles as Andie Dikosavljevic and Alannah Griffin narrowly upset the Bulldog pair of Katerina Stloukalova and Georgia Lawson, winning 7-5 on a tiebreaker. Auburn then finished the dual match in singles play with straight set victories at No. 1, No. 5 and No. 6
The 'Dogs will face Rice at 8 a.m. PT on Sunday in the consolation match. The Owls were bested 4-2 by No. 18 USC in their opening match.
