Gonzalez, Dunne top finishers for Fresno State at Mountain West Championships

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – Fresno State was in Albuquerque on Friday morning to compete in the Mountain West Championships. Joel Gonzalez and Kathleen Dunne each led their respective squads.
This was the third time this season Gonzalez led the men's team. The senior finished with a 26:49 in the 8K.
Alekos Mitchel, Matthew Founds, Jose Aispuro and Ryan Walker rounded out the men's top five.
Kathleen Dunne finished first on the women's side for the fourth time this year. The graduate transfer from Long Beach State clocked a 23:39 in the 6K.
Sami Shields was the Bulldogs' second finisher for the first time this season. The sophomore crossed the line with a time of 24:09.
Lydia Scott, Ellie Leather and Cristal Rivera rounded out the women's top five.
