Alex Lee fires final round 69 as Fresno State wraps up fall tournament play

PEBBLE BEACH, Calif. – Fresno State men's golf concluded its fall tournament play with the final round of the Saint Mary's Invitational on Wednesday at Poppy Hills Golf Course. The Bulldogs shot 8-over-par as a team and finished in 13th place among the 18-team field.

For the second day in a row, Alex Lee was the low-scorer for the 'Dogs as he carded a 2-under-par 69 in the final round. Lee shot 1-under-par on both nines and tallied four birdies on the day. The junior finished at 1-over-par for the tournament.

Justin Avery shot a 1-over-par 72 in the third round on Wednesday. The senior was the most consistent player for the Bulldogs this week as he finished tied for 20th overall and atop the Fresno State leaderboard.

Kevin Huff posted a 5-over-par 76. The freshman finished the invitational at 13-over-par in only his second start in the Fresno State lineup.

Michael Cliff carded a 6-over-par 77. He was up-and-down most of the day but finished strong with three birdies in his final six holes.

Lane Pulliam shot a 4-over-par 75. The third freshman in the Bulldogs' lineup had four birdies on his card in the final round.

Individual Greg Gildea put together a strong final round, posting a 1-under-par 70 on Wednesday. The senior accumulated a team-high seven birdies.

Fresno State's spring schedule starts on Jan. 29 at the Pepperdine Invitational. The two-day event will be hosted by the Waves at Saticoy Country Club in Ventura, Calif.
