Giglio releases 2018 schedule, Bulldogs to host six games

FRESNO, Calif. – The Fresno State lacrosse team will host six home games of its 18-game schedule during the upcoming 2018 season, which is set to begin on Feb. 9, head coach Jessica Giglio announced Tuesday. The Bulldogs are set to host four nonconference opponents, as well as two Mountain Pacific Sports Federation matchups.

Fresno State will go on the road for 12 games this season, the most in program history.

"This 2018 schedule makes it an exciting time to be a Fresno State Lacrosse player, Giglio said. "We have strengthened our RPI and have added new non-conference opponents which will continue to challenge and grow our program. For this upcoming season, we are returning 23 players from the program's first winning season and we are looking forward to competing for our conference championship."

The 'Dogs will open the season with back-to-back round games, facing La Salle (Feb. 9) and Binghamton (Feb. 11), before returning home for a three-game homestand.

The Red Wave will be able to watch the 'Dogs host Mercer (Feb. 16), Vanderbilt (Feb. 19) and St. Bonaventure (Feb. 27).

Fresno State will go back on the road to face Sacred Heart (March 10), Mount Saint Mary's (March 12) and Delaware State (March 14). Before returning home to host Albany (March 17). The 'Dogs will finish nonconference play on the road visiting Wofford (March 24), Presbyterian College (March 26), Radford (March 29), Cal (April 6) and Stanford (April 8).

The 'Dogs will start MPSF conference play with home matches against UC Davis (April 11) and San Diego State (April 15), and conclude the regular season on the road at UC Davis (April 21). San Diego State will host MPSF playoffs April 27 – April 29.
