Brown earns MOP, but Bulldogs drop meet to TCU, 12-6

Fresno State equestrian returns home next weekend as the ’Dogs host SMU and Baylor

SPRINGTOWN, Texas – The No. 5 Fresno State equestrian team fell 12-6 to No. 10 TCU in Springtown, Texas on Saturday. Senior western rider Taylor Brown earned the Bulldogs' lone MOP, in reining.

The Horned Frogs now own an 11-8 all-time record against the Bulldogs and have defeated Fresno State for the second time this season.

TCU swept equitation on the flat, 4-0, and equalized the 'Dogs 2-2 in equitation over fences. Sophomore Alexandra Dirickson and freshman Natalie Wendt earned points in the event for Fresno State. TCU then owned a 4-1 advantage in horsemanship, junior Rachel Williams earning the point for the 'Dogs.

Finally, Fresno State was able to outscore the Horned Frogs 3-2 in reining, with Brown, junior Taylor Dixon and freshman Shea Gilson recording points.

The Bulldogs return home next weekend to face No. 6 SMU on Friday and No. 1 Baylor on Saturday.
